Currently Residing in the "Where are they now?" file, Murmurs Of Irma was a psychedelic pop band from Portsmouth, UK (1996-2002)

Lauded heavily by DIG THE FUZZ Records for being one of the best bands in the nineties ( they were asked to donate a track for the very rare ASTONISHING SOUND SHOW STORIES part 1 album), I suppose 9 out of 10 of us won't of had the good fortune of finding this little treasure as it certainly didn't gain the applause it should have done. As usual someone else turns up doing a similar things and gets all the attention. Whilst everybody was winky wanking to the likes of other bands eg CLEARLAKE ,THE CORAL, THE MUSIC , THE ELECTRIC SOFT PARADE,COLDPLAY, OASIS blah blah blah. Super Vacillation Day musically had more imagination with an honest rawness and personally Murmurs of Irma as a band had a little more for me, I can only hope that at least one more lucky punter will get a chance to hear these 4 outstanding tracks brimming full of originality and fifth dimensional sounds, on this now very obscure 45. Later on MURMURS went on to support the MONKEES on their reunion tours.
