Who would have thought it? This stunning and sassy young lady from Halifax.

Has a voice so soulful and colourful, that it seems more likely she would have grown up in Motown's windy city Detroit, than in the shadow of the Yorkshire cole mines.



Hayley May, is sizzling hot and proud of her soulful - pop music. Proud to produce songs that make us all spontaneously start dancing, singing and strutting around with a big smile, on our face, whether we want to or not.



As a singer/songwriter Hayley documents much of her own personal experience, and uses her ability to empathise with those around her when crafting her songs. This provides the bridge by which her audience are able to connect with her.



From a young age she discovered she had a passion for singing which she developed while performing with her school’s mixed voice choir. As her appreciation for the intricacies of vocal arrangement grew, she began to create her own melodies, and found herself in possession of a voice that turned heads.



Artists such as Prince, Lauryn Hill and Michael Jackson remain amongst Hayley's main influences, and she feels she has learnt a lot from their music, about the creativity involved in songwriting.



Hayley's now writing with MOBO winning producer Wesley Johnson aka 2 Play whose hit singles include "so confused" featuring Raghav.

With her edgy look and bewitching performance style. Hayley May works her enticing vocals into a mix of Soulful - Pop songs.
