The transformation from Bhavin Patel to eMCee B started in a back bedroom down in east London in 1996. Starting as a bedroom DJ and MC to being potentially the next big thing on the mainstream scene is just a few of the achievements eMCee B has managed to get under his belt. Growing up in the diverse community of East London and hanging out with the wrong crowd provided the right musical influences and emotional ammunition for the young artist. His aspiration to represent provided motivation, being the only Asian kid in the playground to battle in freestyle contests during break times, proving that talent sees no colour. Behind every creative artist lies a strong support network, which encourages, motivates and holds them firmly to the ground. For eMCee B this was and still is his family, especially his older brother Kevin who cultivated his talent and exposed him to the clubbing scene. Moving with the older crowd kept the budding MC out of trouble and helped him centre his energy on making music. At the age of 13 where fear was not a factor but fun took centre stage eMCee B preformed at numerous hot spots around town including Equinox, Temple Night Club, Stratford REX and Yacht Club. Having conquered the stage eMCee B stepped it up a notch, blowing up speakers all across the capital by appearing on radio stations such as Flava Fm, Raw Mission Fm and Obsession Fm. By 1998 he was a boy on a mission proving that talent sees no age, at 15 focusing his efforts on writing as well as MCing with various artists including DJ EZ and NORRIS DA BOSS.

With such a great start we can only, but have great expectations of this young boy who like fine wine matured to give us more texture, depth and flavour then ever before. In summer of 2000 eMCee B won an award for the Best MC in a competition at Bagleys Film Studio. Performing on stage in front of a crowd big as 700 eMCee B became resident MC at sound bar in 2000. The following year, eMCee B performed in clubbers place of pilgrimage, Aya Napa. Bringing his fresh fusion of rap and MCing to the Black and White, Gas Club and Havana. Working with a new crowd inspired the young MC to mix his magic, combining two styles of music to give us one big explosion.

Being Asian and accepted into the music industry is a big blessing, being successful is a gigantic blessing that eMCee B recognises and one that he doesnt take for granted. Not forgetting his own identity and roots he plans to connect back to his community through his music by representing his style of music to the Asian community.

Today eMCee B is affiliated with Jalef Productions and recording his own original lyrics in counterw8 studios (http://www.counterw8.com.). He has created 7 tracks to date, on his first album titled Critical Emotions which is soon to be released. Each track deals with a different emotion from previous track. When asked about the reasoning behind the name eMCee B thought Critical Emotions were the things that people dont talk about, the important things that often need to be said! eMCee B saw this album as a channel to convey to others not to ignore what they feel, because it more then likely that there are other people who feel the same way, so no one should ever feel isolated. The album is a real mix of emotions that you can relate to on a everyday vibe, party tracks like Shake which just make you want to move your body, other tracks like B wiv U which still have a fun flavours as well as meaningful lyrics. Each song on this album is close to the MCs heart because they were all inspired by situations in his daily life or those close to him.

A close friend and fellow producer J!ffy form Jalef productions gives his insight on Critical Emotions One thing I have to say from a production stand point is that the beats on the album are diverse and inspiring, and as for eMCee B's Lyrics and flow. people who thought they'd summed up his style RECONSIDER, because up till recently I didn't even know he could do what he's done!!!
