Her writing speaks, her words are alive.

The ink is permanent and forever it will be.

She teaches you, she taught me.

But there are those who try to fight,

her work,

her love.

It still shines bright.

River of grass we've cut you more than you've cut us.

Pay-hay-okee, Everglades, we've broken natures trust

A signal, a plea, it cries for a hand.

A hand we'll give as humans, as friends.

I find myself trying to forgive every mistake every sin.
