DESCRIPTION:
This was recorded live with Monsieur Camembert, a nine-piece group of pure genius. Recorded in 1997 at the Vanguard in Sydney, Australia as part of a tribute to Leonard Cohen's work, and was my first real introduction to the great man's work. Little did I know I'd be auditioning for the real thing in January 2008 for his touring band, which by a slight margin was not my gig. But I was pleased to be a part of this special evening put together by musical director Yuron Hallis. The evening featured vocalists, Abby Dobson, Ngaiire, Elana Stone and myself. The band was: Edouard Bronson, Marcello Maio, Mark Harris, Jim Pennell, Juliian Curwin, Giosofatto Ciampa, Anatoli Torjinski & Daniel Weltlinger.
