Momonashi are a Japanese duo by a vocalist Mihoco Kamimura and a tenor-bassist JIGEN. In 1996, they met each other by chance in Sri Lanka and formed Momonashi in 1998. A unit name “Momonashi” stands for peach (momo) and pear (nashi).

They have unique music sense that is based on Japanese melodies such as folk songs and local music, which is mixed with the essence of rock and funk music. They have fascinated audience not only in Japan but also in the United States, France, and Belgium.
