II: Earthworms come out to hear rain's footsteps
Thunder resonating deep under earth.
Waves of moist air sway leaves,
carrying some to the secret blue.
One drop,
shocks the dusty patch.
Two. More.
In the burrow, her body listens, moves.
Into the steps of rain…
