You are not seriously listening to this video using those cheap, tiny speakers in your home computer, laptop, or cell phone...are you?
If you are serious about finding pedals with good tone, I just can't emphasize this enough...USE YOUR HEADPHONES!

Modest Mikes "Gilmour Mod"
A lot of musicians spend an enormous amount of time chasing "that sound."
I am referring to the Pink Floyd recordings from "The Wall." This pedal is a real good start!

Our first modified Muffs were by the book Rams Head conversions. After doing about 50 or so of these mods and listening closely to each change, I have developed a few special tweaks...I will share some with you:)
I leave R8 at its stock value to preserve the tone and volume at low volume levels. I also leave C6 and C13 at their stock values for a smoother sounding pedal. I also found that converting C1 through C5 from 1uf to .1uf was cutting the pedal pretty thin. I now use .22uf for these values. And with that, I think I have shared as much as I want to, and maybe more than some folks wanted to know:)

The sound here is my guitar through the pedals and straight into my recorder. No amp used, a lot of treble to show the differences. The Gilmour mod also cleans up nicely and gives the pedal nice lows as well.
