I do not have any information about the composer of this song, but the lyrics is definitely based on the French Dominican Henri Lacordaire. Pictures of John paul II are included in this video in his honor, in celebration of his beatification on Sunday, May 1, 2011. It is a momentous occasion for me, because John Paul II has been a spiritual influence to me, and I share so many things that he stood for, including his personalism, Thomistic phenomenology, and love for the arts, poetry, theater, and education. His book Theology of the Body is one of the best books I have ever read, and continues to influence my own desires for an authentic mystical theology.
