Minthorn is an emerging Thrash-metal band from Denver, Colorado. They bring a more technical approach to the head-banging genre of thrash in hopes to bring a breath of fresh air to the national metal scene. With pillaging antics and thrashing riffs, their music just begs and pleads for massive circle pits. They brandish the epitome of thrash with their circle-headbanging stage presence, and their classic horns-up-style metal. But most of all, they dedicate everything they have and work for to their loyal fans! They would be nothing without their coalition of metal-heads to back them up!
Formed as of January 2007, the current line-up features Tom Freed on guitars and lead vocals, along with Joey Ihly on guitars and backing vocals, Matt Kinneberg on bass, and Brad Bower on drums. The band is directly influenced by bands such as Megadeth, Slayer, Testament, Metallica, Exodus, Death, Overkill, Storm Troopers of Death, The Black Dahlia Murder, Job for a Cowboy, Kreator, Pantera, Destruction, Municipal Waste, Amon Amarth and countless others. With the blending and construing of such bands and genres, the band hopes to bring something new to aspiring metal-heads.
