Pickin' on a brand new song I wrote right on the beach in Waveland, Mississippi, just outside Gulfport. Playing by memory so I only could remember a few verses.


Roadside Pickin' is a YouTube series started by Minneapolis Folk Blues musician Chris Holm, pickin' on classic blues & roots songs from our past & present.

As Chris tours the country playing folk blues, he sometimes comes across places that connect Chris with a song from the past or inspire a brand new song. Most of these songs are songs he learns or writes on the spot. These videos are not meant to be perfect representations of the songs but rather a documentation of a moment where a song feels right.
