Questa “Videopedia” raccoglie le immagini più significative di 150 Film che hanno fatto la storia del Cinema e dei 150 Autori della Cinematografia che le hanno rese indimenticabili.
Realizzare qualcosa di originale per restituire, seppur in parte, le emozioni sonore legate a immagini che hanno fatto la storia del Cinema è impresa ardua. Siamo infatti davanti ad un’ampia collezione di personaggi, storie e situazioni diverse, realizzate in contesti spazio-temporali differenti. Tale eterogeneità si traduce in una sequenza ritmata di immagini che trova organicità attraverso la lettura musicale di più di cento anni di Cinema. Da qui l'idea di organizzare i materiali sonori - frammenti melodici, elementi ritmici e timbrici - creando un percorso compositivo nel quale l’ascoltatore ritrova spunti noti, talvolta incompleti, che richiamano alla memoria alcuni brani celebri legati ai film. Il discorso musicale prende le mosse da un tema originale ripreso e adattato più volte, quasi a voler simboleggiare il “viaggio” personale dell'autore attraverso alcuni dei più celebri “paesaggi sonori” del cinema.

This “Videopedia” brings togheter the most significant images of 150 films that have written a century of Cinema history and 150 Cinematographers who have made then unforgettable.
Creating something original that will evoke, albeit partly, the sound emotions linked to images that have made cinematography history is no easy task. In fact, one is faced with a vast collection of different characters, stories and situations, set in diverse space-time context. This medley is transformed into a rhytmic sequence of images that are rendered harmonius by the musical interpretation of more than a century of cinematography. Hence the idea of organizing the material - melodic fragments, rithmic and timbric elements - to create a compositional course that enable the listener to identify familiar, yet sometimes incomplete, passages which bring to mind some of the famous pieces of music associated with the films. The musical discourse is based on a original theme that is reprised and adapted several times, as is to symbolize the author's personal “Journey” through some of the most celebrated soundscapes in Cinema.
