~ Mike McGuire Bio ~
Mike McGuire has always been at the forefront of building amazing custom guitars. During the mid and late 70's, with help from fellow brother-in-arms Al Carness, McGuire founded Valley Arts Guitars--a company of epic proportion based out of North Hollywood, California. Over the years McGuire built guitars for such famous studio players as Larry Carlton, and Tommy Tedesco. Unfortunately consumed by flame in the early 90's, Valley Arts was forced to sell to the highest bidder, and McGuire soon found himself employed by the Gibson Custom Shop. The partnership only began to grow, and McGuire soon found himself rising to the head of the Gibson Custom Shop.
