It's hard to imagine a more lovely sound than that of Paulinho Garcia. The lush harmonizations from his guitar and his quiet, pure voice all reflect his gentle, sweet spirit. This is Brazilian jazz at its finest. I am grateful to be able to refer to Paulinho as a dear friend of over 25 years, and I always welcome his return to the Whiskey Lounge.

When Paulinho suggested that he perform this time with fellow guitarist Mike Allemana I was thrilled. Mike is a legendary musician in Chicago and I was not aware that these two ever performed together. A native of Elmhurst, Mike has played all over the world with the likes of Von Freeman, Mickey Roker, Lonnie Smith and Bernard Purdie. He is a highly respected, monstrously talented player and I can't wait to hear what he and Paulinho cook up. Undoubtably, it will be delicious. --Steve
