PUBLISHED:  Feb 24, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
Pierre Michel (January 7, 1981 - 2004) was an American singer, actor and musician. Although best known as a member of the indie band The Honey Brothers, Michel was not only associated with, but was a member of, recorded with and wrote for a number of bands such as The Giraffes, Kid Friendly, Mighty Jones, Soul By Committee, The Midnight Show, and his first band, Radiostar, as well as solo artists Ethan Gold, Andrew Vladeck, and Shira. Although Michel's life was cut short at only 23 years old in a tragic kayacking accident as mentioned in an article on papermag.com about fellow bandmate Adrien Grenier he has made a mark in the New York indie scene. Songs writen and performed by Pierre Michel have inspired recordings such as "Honey Baby Child" by The Giraffes. A tribute album with recordings inspired and writen by Michel has yet to be recorded but is said to be in the works.
A very rare lower quality live recording one of Michel's last known performances can be seen here
