Conscious Hip Hop artist Insanity of I & I performs a spoken word at Leila Steinberg's Mic Sessions. If you like Hip Hop and/or spoken word, check it out. Insanity of I & I doesn't do many spoken word pieces but when he does, they are as profound as his Hip Hop tracks. This particular piece is addressing how this country was founded on almost wiping out an entire race. The purpose of the poem is not to make us feel guilty, but to remind us to be grateful for our everyday lives and appreciate everything we have and dissolve our sense of entitlement. It's a reminder to respect the land that once belonged to the Native Americans and refrain from thinking that we ever have any reason to complain about our lives because we are blessed.
