The cajon's acoustic sound is picked up via a dedicated clip-on condenser microphone, which can also trigger onboard sounds that can be layered over the acoustic cajon sound. Adding additional kick trigger pedals and creating percussive loops lets cajon players expand their sound further - while enjoying battery powered, floor-mounted portability.
