MICHAEL ORLAND

Michael Orland began his impressive musical career at the tender age of three, when he escorted each member of his family, one by one, to see Mary Poppins and then sat down at the piano and played the songs by ear. Since this auspicious beginning, he has become one of the nation's most acclaimed concert and theatre musical directors.

Michael holds the prestigious position of Associate Musical Director for the hit TV show, American Idol. A world-class performance and singing coach, Michael has worked on every season of American Idol, as well as multiple seasons of America's Got Talent, and hundreds of Broadway Shows. Having seen thousands of auditions across the country from network TV to Broadway, Michael is a seasoned expert on how to audition and what makes people outshine their competition. He has trained and accompanied thousands of artists from Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Chris Daughtry, and Adam Lambert, to every American Idol winner -- as well as thousands of contenders.

Michael has appeared on Oprah, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, The Ellen Show (more than 60 times), People Magazine, and dozens of other national media outlets. Michael has also collaborated with some of the music industry's biggest names such as: Jennifer Lopez, Elton John, Burt Bacharach, Martina McBride, Tony Bennett, and many other acclaimed musicians. Peisha McPhee and Michael Orland met back at the world famous Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel's Cinegrill club where both were performing and presenting shows. However, it wasn't until Season 5 of American Idol that the two got to know each other better. A young beautiful girl by the name of Katharine McPhee was a contestant and Peisha was at the show every week as both Katharine's mother and coach. During this time the two grew close and years later formed a powerhouse alliance to dramatically improve the vocal and performing skills of singers globally.

Michael and Peisha started teaching master classes together in 2009 and found they had identical styles in teaching, coaching and performing philosophies. After a few overwhelmingly successful master-classes together they realized that with their combined expertise, there couldn't be a more unstoppable pair. After traveling around the country teaching master-classes to teens and adults alike, they've now joined forces to create world-class coaching programs and products to help singers achieve their dreams.
