DESCRIPTION:
Los Angeles gospel singer and jazz pianist Glenn Hill & JD Sebastian perform and worship from their hearts in this special rendition of "Amazing Grace" sung to "House of the Rising Sun" (author unknown, but made popular by "The Animals" 1964, amongst other artists' renditions). The words to Amazing Grace came through John Newton, a clergyman in England, in the late 1700s. Founders MCC is the founding church of Metropolitan Community Churches, a worldwide Christian denomination which began in Los Angeles in 1968, founded by Reverend Troy D. Perry, who saw the need for a church that would welcome and encourage God's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender children (outcasts at that time by the majority of the rest of the Christian churches and theology of that day).
