!Organism label boss Yan Stricker steps up with a superb new three track single of dark edged techno and tech house backed with a remix from Glaswegian producer Hans Bouffmyhre...

This is the eighth release from the Lausanne based !Organism imprint, a label that has been building a solid reputation with its selective single releases and quality techno output since its inception in 2008. For their latest release !Organism label boss Yan Stricker has stepped up to deliver a searing single of dark edged techno and stripped minimal.

Stricker has been producing and DJ'ing since the mid Nineties developing a following in his native Switzerland and travelling with his own unique take on techno and electro. He has also worked behind the scenes promoting across Switzerland and helping to bring new talent to the fore, something which in 2008 led to the development of the !Organism label.

Stricker kicks off his latest outing on !Organism with title cut 'Urban Circus', a stripped back and brooding slice of intense techno with a definite electro influence. Tight drums and off beat synth stabs create solid groove, whilst the low end bass adds a hypnotic quality, a simple but highly effective production.

Next up we have 'Trapeze Acts' which takes things into Minimal territory with sparse drum programming, white noise and off kilter stabs, a great track that is sure to find favour in the early hours.

The penultimate tracks sees Glaswegian producer Hans Bouffmyhre get to grips with remixing 'Trapeze Acts'. Bouffmyhre has had a prolific few years, releasing for labels such as Perc Trax & Synewave and here he brings his experience to bear with a rollin, heads down reworking that ticks all the right boxes.

Finally we have the edgy 'Clowns Parade' which entwines sythn lines around a solid drum pattern and percussion to provide a perfect closing piece to this excellent package.

!Organism are very selective with their output but what they do put out certainly hits the spot. Enjoy.

dangerous-drums.de (Radio) - Corin Arnold
Coverage type: Radioplay confirmed !

"Urban circus gets my support for its simplicity and directness and is the kind of sound that should do well in the berlin big electro night out scene as well as europe wide I would guess. It's a very now euro sound . The remixes may be more likely to find favor in the after hour scenes across berlin or the still very present and widespread techno network.
I will support with radio ( I will offer it for rotation and include in a future show ) plays out and chart placing. A crisp clear purposeful release . 7*/10"
