MELLOWTOY

The long awaited new album "PURE SINS" has just been released. Recording sessions took place at the ALPHA OMEGA STUDIOS in Como (IT) with the artistic production, recordings, mix and mastering by Alex Azzali (Ancient, Cataract, Venomous Concept and many more).

Drums were performed by DARAY BRZOZOWSKI from DIMMU BORGIR and bass by ANGELO PERINI (ex-EXILIA). The album contains features acts by FEDI from CATARACT and ALESSANDRO RANZANI from MOVIDA and REZOPHONIC.

JACOPO and DIEGO, extremely good musicians well known in the Milano underground hardcore scene with a lot of live experience just joined the band as drummer and bass player and completed the current line-up.

The project MELLOWTOY was born in 2002 and after an intense live activity, they sign their first contract in 2004 with the Italian independent label BAGANA RECORDS, with the debut album MELLOWTOY (distributed in Italy by V2/SONY) that contains DURAN DURAN’ s cover “SAVE A PRAYER”, chosen like first single.

They started with the promotion in Italy and thanks to the cooperation with LIVE IN ITALY AGENCY they left for an headliner tour in all the most important live clubs in Italy, then the video “SAVE A PRAYER” gone in heavy rotation on the most important Italian music channels (MTV, ROCK TV and ALL MUSIC).

During this tour MELLOWTOY had the chance to be the openers for the Italian shows of bands like FEAR FACTORY and PAPA ROACH.

In the winter 2005 MELLOWTOY toured Italy with ILL NINO and HIM, then in summer 2006 they were proud to take part to the 10th edition of GODS OF METAL, one of the most important European metal summer fests.

In winter 2006 they publish their 2nd studio album “NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE”, also for BAGANA RECORDS, distributed in Italy by V2/SONY and in Japan by RB RECORDS.

The first single chosen for the promotion was the provocative and explicit hit “FAK U”. The video gone in heavy rotation on the Italian music channels and for MTV Japan too.

A headlining tour followed, featuring some shows with STONE SOUR and ALTER BRIDGE.

During the promotional tour, they realised other two music videos for the two singles “THE WORLD IS MINE” and “SHADE”, that also gone in heavy rotation on Italians and Japanese music televisions.



In winter 2008 the band signs the management contract with ALPHA OMEGA MANAGEMENT and in March 2009 MELLOWTOY take part to their first European tour in some eastern countries. This tour, organized by THE FLAMING ARTS AGENCY, took place in Ukraine, Belarus and Russian Confederation with 15 shows from March 7th in Kiev to March 25th in Moscow at 1ROCK CLUB supporting ILL NINO.



During this tour, the band signs a distribution contract for their 2nd album “NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE” in the Russian federation for SOYUZ MUSIC, one of the biggest labels in Russia.

In June 2009 they come back in Moscow to play with PAPA ROACH for a big show at THE GREEN THEATRE situated in Gorky Park, and also appeared in Kiev at the CHAYKA FESTIVAL. They also opened for 2 shows with DISTURBED in Milan and Zagreb.



The band with this new strong line-up is recording the first 2 new videos and is ready to hit the roads again touring with a new live set anywhere it will be possible.
