"Miles Away" is the third single by American singer Madonna from her eleventh studio album, Hard Candy. It was first released as a promotional single in Japan in June 2008, due to it being the theme for the Fuji TV Japanese drama Change. The song was officially released on October 17, 2008 by Warner Bros. Records. The song was the last number-one dance airplay hit of 2008 and first one of 2009.

The music for "Miles Away" was written first among all the other songs of Hard Candy, and Madonna began singing for the song after listening to it. Madonna said that the song was inspired by her (then) husband, Guy Ritchie.

The cover depicts passport stamps of her European dates from the 2008 Sticky & Sweet Tour. The song has been performed in both the Sticky & Sweet Tour as well as the Hard Candy Promo Tour.

This version was produced by fresh and trendy new-wave hip-hop producer from Miami - Mark Holiday, also known as Trendsetter. This remix first appears on his personal myspace in January 2009. Then this remix was added to his promo compilation "Remixes on Grammy Award Nominee's"
