Nestled into a cottage in a small rural township with a population of just 170, The Smith Street Band spent a month with Bomb The Music Industry’s Jeff Rosenstock as producer to bring Throw Me In The River to life. During their time together, singer/guitarist Wil Wagner performed a surprise solo show at the local pub, The Wonky Donkey, which had the entire town talking. In near freezing conditions, the show, and subsequent bonfire after party that followed, was magically captured by photographer Andy Johnson for the album’s cover art and this breathtaking visual glimpse behind the scenes of the recording process.
