"It is Monday the 17th of December 2012 and we have Modeselektor for the very first time on the CLR Podcast. Instead of recording a mix with lots of their own highly popular productions, Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary who together form Modeselektor chose to record a 1,5 hours long studio mix, which exclusively features tracks from their acclaimed 50WEAPONS imprint. The set focuses mainly on artists who found their musical home at the label, like Anstam, Addison Groove, Bambounou, Benjamin Damage, Cosmin TRG, Phon.o and Shed. With Marcel Dettmann´s EP "Linux / El-Lipse", which marks release number 25, 50WEAPONS has basically accomplished half of the undertaking, as the name stands for 50 releases - the self-determined lifespan of the label."
