Remember 1990s trio 3rd Bass? Back in the late 1980s and '90s, the trio -- consisting of MC Serch, Pete Nice and DJ Richie Rich -- made a name for themselves in the hip-hop game with two white emcees leading the way.
They were best known for their hit, "Pop Goes The Weasel," which hit #1 on the Billboard Hot Rap Tracks chart, and criticized mainstream commercial acts such as Vanilla Ice and MC Hammer.
Well, in early July, the group reunited on-stage for the first time in 13 years for a show in Brooklyn called "Products of the Environment", during which fashion designer/DJ Aaron Lacrate (Milkcrate Athletics) sat down with trio for Ballerstatus.com for a funny chat.
They discuss the reunion show, what it felt like to be on-stage together again, and if Serch could grow his hi-top 1990s fade again.
Before closing out, Serch even offered up a freestyle.
