DESCRIPTION:
On the evening of 22nd November 2013 (taking into account the 6 hour time difference between the UK and Dallas), exactly 50 years on, The Assassination of JFK: Minute by Minute on BBC Radio 2 told the story of the murder of President John F. Kennedy, from half an hour before Lee Harvey Oswald pulls the trigger, to Lyndon B. Johnson being sworn in two and half hours later. The programme was accompanied by 10 live music performances accompanied by the studio's 21 piece orchestra, of songs which were chosen to have a particular resonance with the theme. This is David McAlmont singing "Abraham Martin and John". For those who do not know, this song was about famous assassination victims: Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King and John F. Kennedy. In the 4th verse Bobby is also mentioned, this being Robert Kennedy who was assassinated in 1968.
