The Interview with SARA CARTER BAYES (1898 - 1979) & MAYBELLE ADDINGTON CARTER (1909 - 1978) was taped on 24 April 1963 (Unissued - Released 2000) by Ed Kahn & Mike Seegar at the home of Sara and her husband COY BAYES in Angel's Camp CA....The opening remarks refer to A.P.'s habit,at Shows and on Recordings and Broadcasts,of joining in the Group's singing unpredictably...Coy Bayes,after offering a few observations,leaves for the beach on his Motorcycle...In the Story about the Mistitling of "Lonesome Day" "Vito" is VITO PELLETTIERI (1889 - 1977),for many years Stage Manager of the GRAND OLE OPRY...The "Archie" Referred to in the discussion of the CARTERS' poster advertising is the Country Music Historian ARCHIE GREEN.
