Yes, you read that right.

This year, with The Boston Freedom Rally being a 2 day event, artists from all over have been clamoring for a slot to perform - and slots are filling up FAST. If you are interested in fighting for a slot, the rules are simple:

To get your slot on the Battle, leave us a link to your music or send two (2) tracks to management@starvingartistsent.com - bring your A game!

Once you are accepted into the battle, there is a $100 entry fee. All money raised goes to MassCann/NORML to help legalize that sticky shit!!

As soon as we receiving your entrance fee you will be mailed fifteen free (15) tickets to do with as you please, they're yours. Sell or give to fans to rally for your cause!

Rules and Judging:

This years Battles will have 1 final winner chosen to play at the 2013 Boston Freedom Rally

The winner will also receive free vending space for the 2-day Rally as well.

THIS IS NOT AN MC BATTLE. This is a talent showcase, so put your best 20 minute set together


- We will have up to 6 acts per show

-2 acts will be chosen as the winner from one of two preliminary show and advance to the Final Round which will be held in August.

- From that finals show, the 1 winner will be chosen.


Judging Guidelines:

Each individual or group will be judged upon a scale of 0-4 in the categories of:

Lyrical Ability - the originality, creativeness and dynamics displayed in an artist's songs

Crowd interaction/stage presence - an act's ability to entertain a crowd vocally and physically

Production - How well an act's beats are produced and polished.

Originality - an act's ability to stand out as different yet good amongst the competitors


There will also be a CROWD VOTE

- CROWD VOTE will happen throughout the whole show, people will be able to cast their vote at the MassCann merch table
