Matt un amoureux de la guitare acoustique. D'ailleurs, la construction de chacune de ses chansons commence avec une épaisse couche de cet instrument. Il aime mettre assez de détails dans cette couche de fond pour que les chansons soient aussi intéressantes solo qu'en groupe.
Ayant joué dans des groupes rock lorsqu'il était plus jeune, c'est en découvrant des artistes tels que John Mayer, Dave Matthews et Ben Harper que l'intéret pour l'acoustique s'est developpé. Après avoir fait des spectacles acoustiques de reprises de ces artistes pendant 2 ans, il a commencé à composer ses propres chansons en mélangeant ses influences.
C'est en s'associant avec de solides musiciens tels que le Batteur Francis Gaulin (Alain-Francois, Dir. Musicale Gala des Oliviers 2009.) et le bassiste Jeremi Roy (Marco Calliari, Gitans de Sarajevo, Frootfly.) que les chansons ont pris leur forme "full band". Apres le démo "Appetizer" en 2006, Matt a été invités à faire la première partie de Nicolas Sarcevic (Millencolin) au Lambi de Montréal. Ayant aimé le spectacle, l'étiquette de disques indépendente Freedumb Records a ensuite produit l"album "Main Dish" qui parut en avril 2008 avec Distribution Sélect.
Une cinquantaine de performances ont suivi cet album. Notamment, 2 éditions du Vans Waprped Tour, une courte tournée de 6 spectacles au Portugal, le Festival du Cochon de Ste-Perpétue, Musique en Vue de Cowansville et une premiere partie de David Usher ont donné l'expérience et le vécu nécéssaire à la fusion complète du groupe et des chansons.
C'est avec ce bagage que Matt et son groupe débutent présentement la pré-production du deuxieme album, qui s'avère prometteur. Ils visent un son très humain et naturel pour une brochettes de chansons qui sauront faire voyager l'auditeur dans une variété de rythmes et mélodies.

Matt is an acoustic guitar lover. Furthermore, the construction of each of his song actually begins with a thick and strong layer of it. He likes to put enough details in it so that the songs can be just as interesting to hear solo as they will be full band.
Having played in rock bands while he was a teenager, it's by discovering artists such as John Mayer, Dave Matthews and Ben Harper that the interest for the acoustic has grown for him. After a few years giving acoustic live performances of songs from these artists, he started writing his own music, creating an interesting blend from these influences.
It is from an association with solid musicians such as the drummer Francis Gaulin (Alain-Francois, Dir. Musicale Gala des Oliviers 2009.) and bassist Jeremi Roy (Marco Calliari, Gitans de Sarajevo, Frootfly.) that the songs took their full band flavour.
After the the three songs demo "Appetizer" in 2006, Matt is invited to play the opening act for Nicolas Sarcevic (millencolin) at the Lambi in Montreal. Having liked the performance, the independant label Freedumb Records produced the album "Main Dish", which came out in stores in april 2008 with Distribution Select.
A bit more than 50 performances followed the album, namely; 2 venues of the Vans Warped Tour, a small 6 dates tour in Portugal, Le Festival du Cochon de Ste-Perpetue, Musique en Vue in Cowansville and an opening act for David Usher permitted the band to develop the right fusion and experience with the songs to build a solid show.
It's with this lot of experiences that Matt and his band are starting the pre-production of the second album, which really promising so far. They're aiming for a natural and human sound for a "kebab" of songs that will carry the listener through a variety of interesting grooves and melodies.
