DESCRIPTION:
Matt Wright hands over to Joe Ely the custom Ted Newman Jones guitar which was stolen from Ely's tour truck during a tour stop at San Francisco in 1986. Matt had bought the guitar at a Merced California pawn shop in 1989. in 2013, while searching for info on this mystery guitar (with no name on the headstock), Matt discovers the story about the guitar theft and contacts Joe Ely.
this is the video of Matt handing Joe Ely his long lost guitar onstage at Ely's performance at the club Slim's in San Francisco California, literally just a few blocks away from where the guitar was stolen from. Joe was very happy to recover the guitar and immediately played a song on it for the first time in 27 years.
