Bishi: Ship of Fools - single

Dir: Matthew Hardern/ Noriko Okaku - Animation: Noriko Okaku
From the show Albion Voice Live.

Bishi's new single is a shanty-esq song of the dispossessed, a reflection upon the melancholy of otherness and an expression of joy at finding new families and friends among likeminded people. The song is inspired by Matthew Glamorre's legendary night club 'Kash Point' - where Bishi DJ'd for 5 'wonderful years'. Based on a boat opposite the London Eye the club became a beacon for the underground visionaries and glamorous misfits of the time.

In honour of the people to whom the song is dedicated the recording features many idiosyncratic instruments including C17 Lute, Bosun Whistle, Santoor and Mr Tickle - the cabinet organ from Worthing. There's even a high-spirited pub choir recorded at London's infamous George and Dragon on Hackney Road.
