Sweep the Leaven from my Heart - Video

DESCRIPTION:
This song, Sweep the Leaven from my Heart, was recorded on an iPhone, in a living room, sung for the 1st time as the words and melody came, therefore the audio is not the best, but the message, and importance of the message in the song out-weigh the audio quality.
Open your heart to the Lord as you listen to this song, and it will speak to your heart, for this season, for this time.

Sweep the Leaven from my Heart by Karen Schrade Ellard, is a song to invite the Lord to take over our hearts, go deep and reveal dead traditions we are carriers of, but might not even know about. Inviting the Lord to:
“Search me thoroughly, O God, and know my heart;
Test me and know my anxious thoughts;
And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me,
And lead me in the everlasting way.” Psalm 139:23-24

In realizing and repenting of our dead traditions, we give room for the Word of God to take effect in and through each one of us.
Lord, deliver us from the doctrines of the Pharisees and Saducees. Sweep the leaven from our hearts!

Mark 8:15
Then He charged them, saying, “Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”
Luke 12:1
Beware of Hypocrisy. In the meantime, when an innumerable multitude of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His disciples first of all, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
Matthew 15:6:
Jesus rebuked the Pharisees telling them “Thus by your tradition you make null and void the word of God."
1 Corinthians 5:7
Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened. For indeed Messiah, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.
From Karen:
“The Holy Spirit birthed this song, Sweep the Leaven from my Heart, after I heard a friend of mine speak about our traditions nullifying the word of God and how the scriptures on "leaven" can tie in with our traditions. Here is a short article by our friend Susan that will help the listener understand the full meaning of the song Sweep the Leaven from my Heart.”
