DESCRIPTION:
From around 1985, give or take a year. Glasgow traditional group "The Whistlebinkies" play a medley which I think was called "Broderick's Bodhran"*, after bodhran-player Mick Broderick [RIP]. Posted in memory of Mick, who was singer with the band for many years, but whose forte was as a hilarious raconteur of outrageous stories. You don't get characters like Mick in the Scottish folk music scene any more, more's the pity.
