DESCRIPTION:
"CLEAR" from REI MASTROGIOVANNI's 2nd full album. Most of the video was shot on a GoPro camera in my home town Eugene, Oregon, USA. The woman in the intro is my elementary school music teacher Mrs.B, who led me to this path of music. The live footage was shot at my show in venue called Shibuya Glad, in Tokyo, Japan.

Rei is a Japanese/American bass player, singer and producer, now based in Oregon, USA. Japan-born, USA-raised, and the mission is "to innovate ska music. "
World’s longest running ska zine “Do The Dog” (London) describes Rei’s solo project as “a super catchy 2 Tone/indie crossover that sounds like Beck fronting early Fishbone.” Their review of his second album was on-point:
“This fab release sounds like nothing else you will hear this year, and it's quality and quirkiness will hopefully bring much more international recognition to one of Japan's fastest rising talents.”
He has worked as a bassist with American ska legend Angelo Moore (Fishbone), Mexican ska giants Maskatesta, and written music for Japanese female pop-ska group Oreskaband.
Also a producer of the award-winning ska documentary "Pick It UP! Ska in the 90's."

スカ、ヒップホップ、ブレイクビーツなどをミックスさせた独自の音楽性を発信し、スカを中心としたプロデュースや、トラックメイク、英語作詞、DJ、番組MC、モデルなどの活動を行う。様々な賞を受賞した90年代スカのドキュメンタリー映画「PICK IT UP! Ska in the 90’s」をプロデュース。
