Quadraphonic Sound Studios (Quad Studios), Nashville, TN: I have been given the opportunity to record an album at the legendary Quad Studios with Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Mick Jagger, Carrie Underwood, Buckcherry, Gavin Rossdale, Motley Crue, Ozzy). Marti has recently purchased this innovative studio and kept the integrity of this historic masterpiece and added some modern components. There is a brilliant aura when you stand in the room where Neil Young, Dobie Gray (Drift Away), Jimmy Buffet, The Jackson 5, Taylor Swift, Kris Kristofferson, Joe Walsh, Steven Stills, Toby Keith, Steve Miller, Grand Funk Railroad and where so many other greats have cut songs or albums… It just blows me away to even stand in this studio and getting to record here gives me an impassioned rush!!!

We commenced our sessions with a few weeks of narrowing down my songs to the best baker’s dozen of the bunch, working on pre-production of the selected tracks and then officially kicking it off tracking the drums with the wonderworking Sarah Tomek. We are on roll now with the momentum building as we step into the next phase of the production with guitar and bass. For all of the thought and production going into the making of this album there is the free feeling of letting the songs breath and take us where they need to go. It’s like the studio is a muse of its own and guides us to the beat of the song. With so many great songs recorded at Quad, I think it’s important to let the walls speak and lead us to our Heart of Gold.
