Music Artist/Rapper TB Marly started his journey as Darrell Jefferson March 2, 1991 in Chicago, IL. He was the first born son to his wonderful, single mother, Mary "PhatPhat" Collins. At the age of 16, he started bouncing back and forth between Chicago, Illinois and Sioux City, Iowa. Trying to get away from gang violence, drugs and guns, he enrolled in High school away from Chicago.

Not having a steady place to live, forced TB to drop out of North High School and get a job to take care of himself. The only relief he had was his music where many of his struggles are expressed through lyrics. Marly's only way to cope at times, he started making Mixed Tapes and appearing in shows around the area.

Always being a part of music, TB recorded his first track with Truth, CEO of TOS at age 13. "Truth, was my true mentor, supporting me from the begining." He got more serious about his music life at age 17 when he met Young Feddy, CO-CEO of his label company T.O.S.Y.G.ent. Together, they pushed each other to be heard.

Starting out, making tracks on laptops and 10 dollar mics sitting in the kitchen. He began to make a name for himself, "Marly is for blowin' no E'... TB because I'm Talking Bricks." Every friend in his circle has played a part in his music, finding anything from encouragement, to a beat to match his flow.

Marly has a deep passion for family. Finding guidance in his first blood cousin, Booda Moe. "He taught me to be a man. Showed me what life was, the streets, shoot thats my Broddie." With 2 sisters and 3 brothers, he is most relative to Damari stating, "I don't ever wanna see my brother cry, anything but sad." Fighting his way here, he is most thankful towards his mother, "I wouldn't be the man I am today."

TB Marly is business minded with a side track on music. Pushing his way into local Clubs and Music Stations, he began to make a name for himself. Proving he can make money as well as music, 'I wanna be boss' he claims." He is thankful for the opportunities to work with several under ground artists.

Always striving for new heights, he looks to people like Gucci Mane, 50 cent and Slick Rick as inspiration. Showing compassion for his community he says, "Your hood, my hood, we all make it a community." Mr. Jefferson truly believes it is about your roots as well as your surroundings.

Having goals himself, to invest in industries to rejuvenate his cash flow and desire to get Mrs. Collins out of the hood, are total motivation to Mr. Jefferson. He is always on a mission in his mind to flow with a tap, rhythm, or noise he hears. When asked what he did for a living, "Music, always music! I used to flip pizza's for a local joint, and then, more music."

Being more focused then ever, Mr Jefferson welcomed his Junior to the world November of 2014. This life changing event, 'Daddy Baby' has brought out the best of his lyrics and determination to make a life in the industry! Even if it means selling CDs at work for $1 a piece, "I want to be heard!"
