Markus Junker and Dirk Schilling go far back in the days.
And of course they met where all musicians meet...at a party!
Two days later they started to synchronize their Ataris by hand...that was back in the early 90th.
Through out the years they became label mates, exchanged ideas and supported each other with their projects.
Together they supported „Asian Dub Foundation“ before Junker signed as „MIR“ with Sven Väths Label Eye Q and Schilling as „Filmpalast“ with Hope Recordings in Bristol.
Years went by and both followed their own individual paths with bands, production work and remixing.
Now with „Junker & Schilling“ it's the first time they team up and join forces in one project.
Their first 3 Track EP „Blue Music“ is calm and serene, reduced and cumulated to the core. Ambient guitars ensnare slow motion electronic beats and deep, deep basses.
Transcendental melodies like contrails in the sky...or simply...beautiful music!

Und natürlich haben sie sich getroffen, wo sich alle Musiker treffen...auf einer Party!
Zwei Tage später haben sie ihre Ataris per Hand synchronisiert...irgendwann in den frühen 90ern.
Während der Jahre wurden sie Label Kollegen, tauschten Ideen aus und unterstützten sich gegenseitig bei ihren Projekten.
Zusammen eröffneten sie für „Asian Dub Foundation“, dann unterschrieb Junker mit „MIR“ bei Sven Väths Label Eye Q und Schilling als „Filmpalast“ bei Hope Recordings in England.
Die Jahre vergingen und beide folgten ihren eigenen Wegen mit Bands, Produzenten Tätigkeiten und Remixing.
Nun mit „Junker & Schilling“ ist es das ersten Mal, dass sie sich zusammen tun und ihre Kräfte in einem Projekt bündeln. Die 3 Titel ihrer Debüt EP „Blue Music“ sind ruhig und gelassen, reduziert und verdichtet bis zum Kern. Ambient Gitarren umgarnen elektronische Zeitlupen Beats und warme, tiefe Bässe.
Transzendente Melodien wie Kondensstreifen am Himmel...oder einfach...schöne Musik!
