`Texas Flood` by Mark Slater - Video

DESCRIPTION:
(All Copyright owned by Larry Davis & Joe Scott , 1958) I recorded this track , as a tribute to the late great `Stevie Ray Vaughan` Its a `Live` Guitar trak, a `one shot` take with no edits or drop ins, I used as close a sound to SRV`s `live` big cleanish and solo sound as I could get (based upon the` el Mocambo` sounds ) and despite a pic in the video showing a `Vox`, All amp sound is Marshall stereo 50/50 6L6 tubes, jmp 1, Jim Dunlop WahWah pedal and a` TS9 Tube screamer` I used an `ambient Small Room` reverb and two Mics on a stereo 4x12 Marshall cabinet. I Had a lot of fun with this trak,!! I used a wah pedal in the solo part because I dont think Stevie ever did on any of his performances of this track ,also apart from the iconic intro line, I played my own lines throughout, so as to capture the `feel` and `sound` of SRV rather than to `copy` his lines..and anyways,, Stevie never played it the same twice,! its the third version I played `live` and kept. Hope you`ll enjoy ! :-)
