A little loop excerpt from Mal Webb's "Live and Instructional" DVD - Video
PUBLISHED:  Feb 20, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
Here's a little improvised demo loop on my trusty AKAI Headrush, demonstrating a few of my favourite looper tricks: The loop of silence, dropping in mid sound and decaying it with the mic position, general mic flapping, face baffing (with the mic), going in and out of record while holding a sound and starting with random timing and allowing the groove to form itself.
I discuss each idea separately on the DVD, which also contains beatbox tuition, general mic technique and heaps of fine live footage. Check out http://malwebb.com for more info or even to buy it!

The other looper I have there is a Boomerang III, which is a lovely beast that can do up to 4 separate or linked loops, long recording time, brilliant sound and compact! There's just a few changes to the software that would make this the best looper ever... I'm hustling the maker. For more on loopers, try: http://malwebb.com/headrush

The mic I'm using is a Audix Om6. Great subs, clean all the way up and a good weight for flapping!
