DESCRIPTION:
Maia adds a blossom of new sound to Kenya's music scene. Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Maia's main influences growing up were Ella Fitzgerald, Natalie Cole & Nina Simone. Maia's songs weave African jazz melodies, ballads, and soulful blues together creating a hybrid signature sound.

Her newest composition "Uko Wapi?" was featured in the much-acclaimed Kenyan production, "From a Whisper", depicting events of the 1998 bombing in Kenya.
