DESCRIPTION:
A live performance of "Tis ksenitias o ponos" by Mavrothi Kontanis and the Maeandros Ensemble in New York City.

This is a very sad and touching song about a son who misses his home and mother being far away in a foreign land. While his words seem to be consoling his mother, they actually reveal how deeply he misses her and his homeland.

This piece features beautiful performances by Mavrothi, Megan, and Lefteris, and was originally performed by Antonis Diamantidis (Dalgas) and Lambros Leontaridis.
