With a world-spanning roster, Sidechain continues to be a force to be reckoned with. After starting off back in 2006, Sidechain have delivered a range of releases, always with an eye on quality and an ear on what the listeners will love.
The label do not feel that they need to stick to any one style, instead staying free to reflect the versatility and strength of the music they promote. With artists from the UK, France, the Netherlands, Germany and beyond, they represent the full spectrum of the scene. Always heavy, always fresh, and always new, Sidechain mean business.

And they are back with the amazing Profiler EP from Audio Habitat, alongside Mad Vibes. The four-piece, originally from Stuttgart, are veterans of the German scene, since they first fell in love with the music back in the early '90s. They've released a number of tracks on Sidechain and most recently their album, they now present Profiler, made up of four of their best works to date.
Opening with the title track, the EP will appeal to those who love a serious, musical edge to their selections. AH blend studio dynamics with a never-ending urge to inform what's going on in the clubs. Loud, booming and brooding, Profiler will fit right up there with the likes of Rockwell, Icicle and Spectrasoul. This is followed by the amazing Entourage. Get inside the dark side of AH, as they deposit you in a world in which your mind will be on edge, your skin will crawl and the unreal becomes all too real. A minimal, stripped down feel pervades the cut, where the repeated rap vocals and stratchy bass notes are to the fore.

Next up is, take a trip down the Black Korridor. Starting off with a seemingly-normal intro, the track soon reveals itself to be far from normal. Bubbling basslines are aligned with some seriously weird clicks and noises, which attach themselves to some sharp drum rises. Menacing as well as enticing, Black Korridor really is like nothing else you'll hear all year. Closer Plan B, featuring InPUT is all sweetness and light to start with, as the heartbeat of the track is established early on, before the levels drop and some serious heat wave bass pressure kicks in. The way the beats move in later is just perfect.
