REMEDY II

My baby lay down feeling all forlorn

To the edge of her imagination

A futuristic-noir inspired trip, a surrealist look at a journey through time , an expressionist tale of a girl lost in dreams

The video for MY BABY's "Remedy II" is all of this and more. MY BABY's music is hard to define. It's diverse, always looking at the past and yet striving to be original. Quite logically and necessarily the imagery that is to complement their music is much the same.
For this project MY BABY teamed up with their visual artist and VJ, Frouke ten Velden, who conceived, directed and edited the idea and got the talented Lars Berg on board to film.

MY BABY is a flapper girl from the 20's who is lost in someone's dream. And she will travel far and wide and through time, through the ages. And our protagonist who dreams of her, is herself caught in a troubled search for identity.
There is a longing to be part of something or somebody. A longing to fall in love.
And then there is a refusal or a rejection. An escape away from that longing into oblivion, into the depths of spiritual bankruptcy, to disappear without a trace.
But she'll always hold fast in hope of redemption. In search of a remedy.
A remedy that is found in a melody.
All there is left is to sing and others will follow and sing after you.
