DESCRIPTION:
This is a liturgic hymn named "Sourp-Sourp" composed by one of the greatest masters of armenian academic music, maestro Magar Yegmalian. The soloist is Lusine Zakarian, who is for the armenians, the best performer of liturgical and academic folkloric music. The organ is played by the great Berdj Jamgochian.

LUSINE ZAKARIAN (soprano)(engl.)

Born Svetlana Zakarian (*1937,Akhaltsikhe, Georgian SSR - +1992, Armenia), was an armenian opera and academic music singer (soprano). She grew up in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region of southern Georgia. In 1952 she moved with her family to Yerevan, where she attended a secondary music school. She entered the Yerevan Conservatory in 1957 and her singing talent soon became clear. From 1970 to 1983 Zakarian was a soloist with the symphony orchestra of Armenian TV and Radio. She also sang as soloist in the choir of the Armenian Apostolic Church's cathedral at Echmiadzin. Zakarian was known for singing the international opera repertoire as well as armenian traditional and church music.


LUCINE ZAKARIAN(soprano)(Fr.)

Né Svetlana Zakarian (*1937, Akhaltsikhe, Georgie RSS +1992), elle est connue comment la plus pleine et brillante voix de soprano du XXèm siècle (avec Kohar Kasparian). Zakarian a grandit dans la région de Samtsekhe-Javakheti au sud de la Georgie. En 1952, elle est partie vivre avec sa famille a Erevan, où elle a fait un 2eme cycle dans une école de musique.
Elle est entrée au Conservatoire de Erevan en 1957 et rapidement son talent de chanteuse devint évident. De1970 jusqu´á 1983 elle a chanté comme soliste dans l' Orchestre Symphonique de la TV et le Radio Arménienne, ainsi que dans le chœur de l' Eglise Apostolique Arménienne en l´église de Sourp Etchmiadzine (la plus antique église chrétienne du monde). Elle est bien connue comme chanteuse du répertoire operistique international ainsi que la musique traditionnelle et liturgique arménienne. Injustement non encore connue par le public mélomaniaque universel, elle est présente pour votre plaisir spirituel dans l'interprétation de la «Vocalise» composée par Arno Babadjanian.
