DESCRIPTION:
Section 25 have enjoyed a long and illustrious history with Factory Records and FAC 51 The Hacienda for some three decades, becoming much admired by fans of the label and the club.
Following the sad passing of lead singer Larry Cassidy, Larry's daughter Beth has taken over on vocals with the band who released their first EP of all new material last September, the "Invicta" Ep on Hacienda Records.
Having recently played The Factory, Gullivers and The Lowry in Manchester, the London date marks a much anticipated concert for Section 25, their first in some years which sees the band run through classics S25 gear such as "Looking From A Hilltop" and new materials, both from the EP and the album they are currently preparing for LTM Recordings.
"Why can't all pop music sound this good? Listening to 'Colour, Movement, Sex & Violence' reaffirmed that music has the power to enrich, the power to lift the spirit -- this really does fill you with a warm rosy glow, and compels you in an almost infantile fashion to spin around on some imagined dance floor. Its pure polished 'Factory' dance music, swirling synths, motorik beats - glorious!"
