How to murder your wife with Thomas as Jack Lemmon's manservant is a favourite 1960s comedy with the late Neal Hefti making his mark on film music. .Johnny Williams and Andre Previn got together in the mid 1960s for this lovely album (Previn in especially lyrical piano mode) sharing the arranging chores. Like Previn's stylings with David Rose on the classic song While we're Young The intro to Fire Down Below sounds very Previn-ish. The song(Fire down below) was a Jack Lemmon composition. I had a Jack Lemmon (At the piano) single of the classic American comedy Apartment theme written surprisingly by an English Charles Williams. At that time (Mid 1960s) Previn composed the bluesy (Trombonist Dick Nash) Fortune Cookie music -- a favourite movie score for an all time top ten favourite comedy -- Walter Matthau at his delicious acerbic best.
