Lost Vital Spark wurde 2002 mit dem Ziel ins Leben gerufen, dem Zuhörer mehr zu bieten als eintönigen 08/15 Metal. In einer Zeit, in der MySpace-Hits und Trends wichtiger zu sein scheinen als Talent und Hingabe zur Musik, in der Qualität durch Quantität ersetzt wird und trotzdem als bahnbrechend verkauft wird, stechen Lost Vital Spark aus der Masse hervor und bringen das zum Vorschein, was andere aus den Augen verlorenhaben: Die Hingabe zur Musik!
Aggressive Riffs, leidenschaftliche Leads und virtuose Soloeinlagen, getragen von drückenden Basslines und ambitionierten Drumpatterns, werden in komplexen Songstrukturen verarbeitet, ohne aufgesetzt zu wirken. Das Werk wird von markerschütternden und eingehenden Vocals komplettiert. Die Lyrics, mit Tiefgang und ohne klischeehaftes "Fuck you" geschrieben, regen zum Nachdenken an und sind ein wichtiger Aspekt von Lost Vital Spark.

With these words the Austrian Metal band Lost Vital Spark manages to drag their audience down into the infinite depth of "LEVIATHAN" - their very first full length album. Containing 8 tracks (running time 57 minutes) it showcases various styles of metal in a diversified and playful manner.
In 2002 Lost Vital Spark was formed with the purpose of declaring war on monotonous run of the mill metal. At a time when MySpace hits and trends seem to be more important than talent and commitment to music, when quality is being replaced by quantity and is still being sold as groundbreaking, Lost Vital Spark stands out of the crowd and shows what others have lost track of already: Passion for music.
Aggressive riffs, passionate leads and unique solo parts supported by heavy bass lines and solid drum patterns are characteristic for the songs.
