Before the McCrary's recorded 'Love On A Summer Night' in 1982, they were signed to the Portrait imprint in 1978. Greg Edwards played this song when I was getting ready for a Saturday night out (someplace!) on his Soul Spectrum show on Capital Bald (as it is known today! :)). The McCrary's recorded 6 albums between 1972 and 1982, with this being one of their finest moments IMHO, ably assisted by Stevie Wonder on harmonica. Various family group members sang backgrounds for the likes of Angela Bofill, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Lee Garrett, Helen Baylor and Cat Stevens! This song is terrific.
