Recorded using a primitive, hand-held tape cassette recorder.
The location of the original master tape recorded by Bill Bailey and Associates is unknown.
This is the only known extant recording of the performance.
The precision of these young singers is remarkable, and indicative of the high calibre of singers then being trained in the suburbs of Metro Atlanta. Many of these high school singers would go on to become choral music directors, musicians, arrangers and operatic singers, many passing under the baton of Robert Shaw and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus.
Some of these singers, now in their 50's and 60's, have rejoined to perform this repertoire once again, under the direction of the last remaining active DeKalb high school choral director from the period of the 1960's-1970's, Dr. James T. McRaney, who has assembled them together in a choir he has dubbed Chorale II. Details are to be found at www.choraleii.org )
Lyrics:
hist whist
little ghostthings
tip-toe
twinkle-toe
little twitchy
witches and tingling
goblins
hob-a-nob hob-a-nob
little hoppy happy
toad in tweeds

little itchy mousies
with scuttling
eyes rustle and run and
hidehidehide
whisk
whisk look out for the old woman
with the wart on her nose
what she'll do to yer
nobody knows
for she knows the devil ooch
the devil ouch
