DJ VJ [DaMusicManne] puttin in another rare tape, this time straight outta Frayser goin down hard in the RCG for the new Lite Green Records label. Everybody knew DJ Sound and the whole Frayser Click by '96, and Ridgecrest was still the place to get a track done right for the low low. Aside from the main volumes DJ Sound put out, there was also a mix of solo tapes of course and a few other mixes that didnt get as much noise. This was Playa 1 aka Ice P's first and only underground tape from way back. "Old Skool" was a pink or white labeled mix of old and new tracks recorded from '94 to '96. It was hosted by Playa 1, who also did the majority of the mixing. And DJ Sound doing some production on top of that. The tape was pressed in '97 at Stewart's Shop, though it wasn't a street seller. more of a pass out if anything. Playa 1 was aiming at something a lil different from the of usual FC material when he put together this mix. He brought in some straight pimpin shit as well as the classic lyrical madness he's been known for. "One on One" for example is a classic track to note up on. And aside from the already known members of the Frayser Click, a slew of new and otherwise unheard-of folks from the Ridgecrest area made their appearances. It was Frayser Bound for the '96. And DJ Sound, P1 and the whole Frayser Click was still bumpin mixes for all the folks.
